YarmonyGrass 2011 Photos & Review
Thursday, August 11th, 2011Legend has it that Chief Yarmony was laid to rest on top of his namesake mountain, but I bet he enjoyed the amazing music echoing throughout his home last weekend during the 6th annual YarmonyGrass. The festival provides music collaboration with some of bluegrass’ finest amidst a backdrop that is hard to beat. Blue skies, pirate costumes (YarrrmonyGrass, as the festival is sometimes referred), and closeto 1,500 attendees congregated along Rancho del Rio, CO. When the train rolls by behind the stage, you know you’ve arrived.
This festival encompasses the heart of bluegrass offering one bigx jam session after another. Artists are called up to contribute – whether it’s bluegrass veteran Peter Rowan, Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth, Scott Law’s Santa Cruz sound, or Bill Nershi’s flat-picking guitar – it’s evident that these guys love playing with one another. Breakout sessions can be found backstage because the musicians can’t even get enough. I almost wonder who is having more fun – us or Read more…
Eoto @ The Big Up Festival 2011
Monday, August 8th, 2011EOTO headlined the second annual Big Up Festival, on July 30, 2011. Amidst countless up and coming bands from the northeast, EOTO stood out as seasoned veterans of the festival scene. Their main stage set traversed the musical plane from grimy dubstep to psychedelic indian influenced melodies. I have so much love, respect and appreciation for the EOTO team and for what they have accomplished in their 5 years together. Nothing pre-recorded, 100% improv…The way it should be.

YarmonyGrass 2011
Tuesday, March 29th, 2011August 4-6, 2010
Rancho Rio River Resort, Colorado
What do a hula-hoop, a river raft and a pirate costume have in common? It’s Colorado’s own YarmonyGrass Festival, of course. The two-night summer camp out known best for its scenic location on the Colorado River basin and its down-home grassroots appeal has announced the 2011 line up, and this year there is a little something for everyone including a little “Crisco” (country-disco for the uninformed), electro, Americana and even soul-lifting roots rock.
The sixth annual YarmonyGrass Festival will again include some of the finest Read more…

Monday, February 14th, 2011The String Cheese Incident will be hosting a festival, affectionately named “Electric Forest Festival”. It will take place from June 30 – July 3, 2011 at the Double JJ Resort in Rothbury, Michigan. This is the same location where the Rothbury Festival was held in 2008 and 2009.
I hope to see all of you there!
Save Camp Zoe!
Friday, December 24th, 2010Camp Zoe was the home of 3 magical nights of The String Cheese Incident at the Big Summer Classic festival in 2007. This was the first time I saw Cheese and it really was a significant reason why this website exists. The federal government is attempting to more…
The Rothbury Incident 2011
Wednesday, October 20th, 2010“We’re also planning on doing something next summer at the Rothbury site. That will be a weekend festival with a lot of String Cheese sets. It’ll be different from Rothbury in that it will be more like our thing at Horning’s, where String Cheese plays every night, and it will include bands in our String Cheese family with art installations and that kind of thing.”

YarmonyGrass 2010 – Review & Photos
Tuesday, August 31st, 2010Driving down the dusty road at night turned into a challenge as we neared the festival grounds. Having some trouble finding the main entrance because of there being no lighting, A dark colored Subaru outback makes a u-turn and zooms up to our own Subaru’s window and the driver asks, “Do you know where Yarmony is?!” It’s Kyle Hollingsworth. With this as our first interaction at Yarmony it was apparent that the little festival fostered the String Cheese family feeling we all came to know and love.
